My role

Outcome
One recognizable brand across 27 neighborhoods
Live site
01 — Challenge
Each center provides healthcare services, mental health counseling, job training, nutrition assistance, and more.
This holistic support wasn't reflected in the centers' previously inconsistent branding.
02 — Approach
Forging connections and building community.
A uniform way to describe services
Because each Family Center functioned a little differently, it was imperative to get each to commit to a similar language around the services they provide.
Retaining what makes them unique.
Each center provides personalized referrals and guidance, connecting families with essential resources—like healthcare services, mental health counseling, financial aid programs, job training, and nutrition assistance. This holistic support helps families access the full range of community services they need.
A user-tested solution.
We worked to ensure local resources were prioritized in the content hierarchy. Further iteration on site aspects, informed by observing small groups of parents performing tasks on the site, led to what is live today.
03 — Outcome
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the site became an essential resource.
After content audits, focus groups, surveys, and design workshops with real users, we built a responsive website centered around what people actually need.
